  1. I just wanted to give a hearty amen to this post. I often point to Peter’s failures as a source of encouragement. He was one of the disciples that Jesus kept the closest to Himself along with James and John (the sons of thunder), and I can’t help but think that it was because Peter was so rough around the edges yet filled with the wonder and awe of God. Peter never stopped because of his mistakes. He just kept walking with Jesus and Jesus did many great things through his life.

  2. “I told the men’s group that anyone who can delight in laughing at Peter simply has no comprehension of their own sin.”

In the hood we would just say “daaaaaaaaaam”

In the Psalms it would be.. “Selah”

They both mean the same! Great comment that summed it all up and brought it on home!

  3. I can relate to this. I just read about Peter denying Christ and instantly I was reminded of the times I have denied Christ and it humbled me and also reminded me of my own faults. Just like the Israelites so many ppl say what they wouldn’t have done but I’m reminded of in many ways i have done the same. This is true, Thank you!
